July 2011

Dear friends and classmates:

July is the time for our annual appeal for support from the class in the form of voluntary dues payments. And a year after our fabulous 50-Year Grand Gala and Weekend, largely because we skipped the appeal in July 2010, our treasury is now almost depleted.

For your information, we must pay monthly bank charges and hosting fees to keep our class website online providing timely class news (some good, some sad) and putting joyous memories at your fingertips at all times. We also have other occasional expenses, for example, in only a year and a half, we will have to renew the 9-year registration of our domain name,1960sailors.net.

In addition, it is important for us to maintain a small treasury to enable us to take advantage of other opportunities to further our mission (www.1960sailors.net/15_Association.htm) that might come up from time-to-time.

So whether you have or have not made voluntary dues contributions1 in the past, now is the time to renew or activate your membership and help support our ongoing activities with a payment of $25 or more.2

Please make your voluntary dues check for $25 or more payable to 1960 Sailors Association Inc., and mail it as soon as possible to our Treasurer, Tom Nasca, at 11 Hunting Hill Dr., Blue Point, NY 11715. (See www.1960sailors.net/15f_Activate.htm for more information.)

Your continuing support is much appreciated so we may "al-ways be together."

With warmest regards,
____________
